FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Ultraman Challenge Israel takes place from the north to the south of Israel over the course of 3 days. On each day athletes, are to cover the following distances under a cut-off time of 12 hours:
-Day 1 – 10 km swim, 144.4 km cycling (774m elevation)
-Day 2 – 275.8 km cycling (1780m elevation)
-Day 3 – 84.4 km running

All courses (including the bike course and run course) are  open to all traffic, and at no time will race officials have  the authority to close any portion of any public roadway. Traffic lights will NOT be controlled. ALL TRAFFIC SIGNS AND SIGNALS MUST BE  OBEYED throughout the entire race. Aid stations and technical food will not be provided by event officials.

On each day athletes are to cover the distances under a cut-off time of 12 hours. Athletes finishing the respective day’s course in a time of over 12 hours will be allowed to continue racing, but will be considered as Participant and not finisher. The swimming lag of the first day has cut-off time of 6 hours.

The nearest international airport is Ben Gurion – Tel Aviv.

The use of a 2-men support team is required throughout the entire event, except for the swim. The support team will follow the athlete by car during the bike section, and by car or bike during the run section.

The support team is the athlete’s responsibility.

However, our team will be happy to assist with recruiting local volunteer. Further details can be found on the rules and regulation page

* The early registration fee is *2,000 USD (up to May 1st 2019)

* From May 2nd to July 1st, registration fee is 2,300 USD.

* From July 2nd to Sep 30th, registration fee is 2,600 USD.

*An extra cost of 400$ will be added for staying alone in a double bedroom.

Full accommodation (for athlete and 2 crew members in 1 triple room), on a half board basis, for all race days, including the night before, as well as the night after the race, respectively (i.e. – 3-7 March, 2020). All participants will be hosted by our name sponsor (TBD), which will provide all necessary conditions for our athletes, in each one of the hotels which we will visit during our event (see further details on Transportation and Accommodation)

Additional “goodies” included as part of the athletes’ registration fee are:

  • Running shirt
  • Finisher shirt
  • Cycling shirt
  • Swimming goggles
  • Technical food by GU

Each athlete must have 2 support members throughout the entire event. The cost for each support member is included in the registration fee.
